Lovely little spot - there’s parking out front and has a nice ambiance, very lively atmosphere on a Friday night but not overwhelming or crowded. We sat at the bar and grabbed a drink, nice beer selection but also great mix drinks - watched them muddled the drinks instead of quick mix which was fantastic.
Started with the poutine tots + they were so gooey and delicious, had to take our food to go since the app was so filling. It was the stringy Beecher's cheese curds, country sausage and brown gravies, bacon and loads of green onions that really did us in
Always a tasty stop! Their fried chicken cobb salad is amazing, and their burgers are awesome. Lots of good beer choices too.
I was headed west on a Tuesday evening, and traffic slowed, so I stopped for a bite and a shot of tequila and found this fantabulous spot!!
The blackened salmon was soooo good!! (That's the picture) so many places over do it. This place got it just right!!
The beautiful bright veggies and bomb @$s potatoes helped balance out the spices
Seriously, one of the most beautifully cooked pieces of fish I've enjoyed in a long time
The service was decent. The atmosphere was very nice. A clean space
I could see enjoying the company of some good friends in this environment 🙏💯
My pup and I went for a walk in the neighborhood. Just lovely!! There was a fabulous park just down the road
After reading a few reviews, we stopped in to check out Sunset Alehouse for ourselves.
Our status included the polenta and cheese covered tots. I enjoyed both. The polenta was nice and crispy. The tots were also crispy with lots of gooey cheese and bacon. We devoured both.
For my entree, I had half of the peanut butter burger and the grinder. The grinder had the classic saltiness you'd expect and the bread was nice and firm as to not fall apart. The peanut butter burger was one of the better burgers of this type of variant I've had. The meat party was flavorful and supple. The peanut butter was pervasive in every bite which made the burger really stand out. The regular fries and sweet potato fries were good, but nothing special.
My daughter had the chicken fried steak. I took a bite and didn't like it / think it was good. That dish seemed like a big miss to me. Another member of our party had the grilled salmon, but didn't enjoy it since it was too salty. The server graciously took it off of our bill.
If you like sportsbars / bar food, I recommend giving Sunset Alehouse a try. The food and service are very good.
I went here for a weeknight double date initially the ladies were expecting something closer to fine dining but once the food and cocktails came they were happy. Everything was delicious and the ambience is pretty lively too. Though not a romantic place it is certainly a good place to hang out with friends.
I have worked in Issaquah for decades , l finally had dinner here and my experience in this establishment was nice. The place is clean. The service was good and the food is really good, especially for the value.
I believe this establishment could expand over to the former Triple X location and do a wonderful business there.
We got the polenta fritters and the Works Tots. They were both wonderful. For our meals my husband and I shared the Grinder and the Haystack Burger. Both of them were great!!!! I would definitely order both of them again. My oldest got the salmon, but we forgot to say "no salt" so she couldn't eat it. (They took it off the bill even though it was our fault!!!). My youngest got the chicken fried steak. It was middle of the road, definitely not something to write home about. But they loved the poached eggs. Overall we had a great meal and my husband and I will definitely go back. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very polite.
The Sunset Alehouse has great food all around (salads, sandwiches, burgers). The portions are hefty. I like to share a salad and sandwich with someone to get half of each. The au jus for the prime rib was especially delicious, was a good with the tots too. There is a good selection of local beers. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable.
The outdoor patio is dog friendly and has heaters when needed!
